Purpose of Position

Ensure the safety and feasibility of booked flight activities. Anticipate potential problems and implement the appropriate corrective actions in compliance with all legal and company requirements.
Arrange and coordinate all land, overfly clearances, traffic rights, slots and airport services involved in all EJME flights.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Review flight bookings to assess operational feasibility, safety, quality and compliance of the flights;
  • Monitor aeronautical information published via NOTAM to assess impact to flight operations;
  • Review weather forecasts and assess the impact to flights planned;
  • Support the Owner Experience and Sales team on flight bookings or sales process by providing operational information for specific flights and aircraft (e.g., flight times, feasibility of a flight).
  • Apply for and continuously control overflying and landing permissions, clearances and traffic rights for all necessary flights to guarantee that landing and overflying permissions are promptly obtained in due time prior to the departure of the flight;
  • Apply for, coordinate, and confirm fleet permits, landing and over flight permissions with foreign government authorities and customs clearances to ensure that all flights comply with airspace, traffic rights and airport regulations;
  • Request, confirm and control all applications for airport slots, prior permissions, aircraft extension and fire and rescue category updated in order to ensure the safe operation of all international flights;
  • Prepare and maintain a flight folder for all flights requiring over flight or landing permissions to guarantee the most updated and accurate information
  • Ensure that fuel supply is available at airports;
  • Submit requests for ground handling services, crew visas on arrival, and other ground-related arrangements (special services) for all EJME flights planned;
  • Other duties can be performed subject to being within the same professional career, considered related or functionally linked;

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

  • University degree in Aviation or equivalent/relevant experience;
  • At least 1 year on an Operations Planning role;
  • Knowledge of aviation legislation and regulations
  • Fluency in Business English (written and spoken)
  • Preferential Flight Operations Officer License (or similar qualification)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
