Title:  Software Engineer, Senior (NJE)

Purpose of Position

Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that support business objectives while ensuring high standards of quality, security, performance, and reliability.

Drive the delivery of software features and enhancements through analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust technical solutions, promote automation and engineering best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of products and development processes.

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Drive implementation of software thru analysis and design activities for new business features or value-based enhancements to existing software.
•    Create, enhance, test, maintain, support, and operate software applications, services, and systems that establish or ensure business operations.
•    Design and implement full-stack internal applications spanning frontend, backend, and RESTful APIs, following established architectural standards.
•    Build and deploy microservices and containerized workloads on AWS EKS; design for cloud-native patterns (scalability, observability, resilience).
•    Integrate AI/ML capabilities — including LLMs and embeddings via AWS Bedrock — into application workflows to drive automation and intelligence.
•    Design and interact with SQL Server databases: schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
•    Collaborate with various internal teams like architecture, infrastructure operations, cyber security, data, and others to implement architectures that encompass broad perspectives and requirements.
•    Automate build, test, and deploy code and build pipelines
•    Build testing automation and associated processes (Unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.) into the software product.
•    Deploy and deliver software solutions with frequent iterations using CI/CD automation, while ensuring quality and operational readiness.
•    Contribute to DevOps practices — pipeline automation, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and alerting.
•    Other duties can be performed subject to being within the same professional career, considered related or functionally linked.

•    Bachelor's degree in, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering field.
•    Previous work experience as Software engineer of 4-6 years' experience is requires. Must have demonstrated ability to work independently with little to no supervision and guidance.
•    Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C/C++, Javascript, python is a must. 
•    Experience and knowledge of cloud services like AWS is a plus. 
•    Experience in web development, mobile development, or software engineering projects as part of educational curriculum is preferred. 
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills
•    Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.
•    Work in an agile team environment to iteratively delivery value.
