Purpose of Position
The Technical Writer Lead oversees and manages the technical writing team within Document Control, ensuring the production of high-quality documentation that meets organisational standards and user needs. This role involves strategic planning, mentoring team members, and collaborating with various departments to align documentation efforts with company goals. The operational and regulatory need for current, accurate, and timely information make this role safety and compliance critical. #LI-Hybrid
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor the technical writing team, including assigning projects, balancing workload, and conducting performance evaluations;
• Develop and implement documentation strategies aligned with organisational goals, establishing style guides and standards;
• Oversee quality control processes, conducting final reviews of high-priority documents and ensuring consistency across all deliverables;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align priorities, and advocate for documentation best practices;
• Manage multiple documentation projects, developing timelines, allocating resources, and reporting progress to upper management;
• Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new tools or technologies to enhance documentation processes and team capabilities;
• Develop content strategies that improve user experience and product adoption, analysing user feedback to inform improvements;
• Liaise between the technical writing team and other departments, representing documentation needs in meetings and discussion;
• Identify and implement process improvements, including new methodologies or tools to increase efficiency and quality;
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team, organising;
• Ensure that safety is a part of every job and activity. Support the safety and compliance programmes, ensuring that any issue that may affect them is appropriately reported;
• Lead and motivate team members in their areas of expertise and through performance metrics, driving for a culture of excellence and results;

• Bachelor’s degree in English or similar;
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
• Preferential knowledge of document control requirements according to EU regulation and ISO 9001 standards;
• Fluency in Business English (written and spoken);
• Ability to work independently or within a team, with strong interpersonal skills;
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail;
• High Proficiency in MS Office.
