Purpose of Position

The Compliance Planning & Projects Specialist (CPPS) is a lead member of the Flight Operations, Technical, and Compliance Programs management team. They are responsible for planning and preparations for compliance with new rules and/or regulations affecting both domestic and international flight operations. They also formulate and institute project plans, utilizing designated stakeholder resources, to meet compliance or capability timelines established by regulatory authorities or in support of company goals.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Compliance Monitoring:
    • Continuously monitors industry and government sources for information of potential impacts to NetJets’ requirements for complying with applicable U.S. and foreign regulations and operational specifications.
    • Evaluates upcoming changes to regulations or technical specifications and prepares written summaries of pertinent information and analyses for use by operations management.  
    • Supports internal audit surveillance as required by NetJets’ FAA-approved Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Compliance Programs:
    • Responsible for coordinating compliance support for domestic and international permits, certificates, and OpSpecs (EASA TCO, Canada, etc.)
    • Provides support for the NetJets Aviation, Inc. OpSpecs and MSpecs to maintain currency and track required updates.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Research:
    • Conducts research in support of compliance decision making. 
  • Compliance Programs Project Management:
    • Manages the Global Operational Capabilities Roadmap (GOCR)
    • Assists with project tracking, prepares status updates, and ensures projects remain on track using internal project management tools.
  • Prepares reports, presentations, and other documentation.
  • Maintains files related to compliance activities and programs.

Bachelor's in Aviation Management or Business Administration

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

  • Aviation business or operations experience 
  • Project management experience
  • Two or more years of experience in aviation-related technical writing or technical administration
  • Thorough knowledge of FARs for on-demand (Part 135) or fractional programs (Part 91, subpart K) Flight Operations
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in team settings and build strong interpersonal relationships across departments
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and conducting research using online resources
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts, systems, and processes with ease
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative, ownership, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality
  • FAA Pilot Rating or FAA Dispatch License, Preferred
