Purpose of Position

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting security operations, monitoring infrastructure, and contributing to the overall cybersecurity posture of the organization. This role will focus on incident detection, security monitoring, and threat analysis, collaborating with senior cybersecurity engineers and IT teams. Your goal will be to help protect company systems, networks, and data from potential security risks and breaches.

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Assist in the monitoring and management of security tools, including SIEM platforms and other security systems
•    Analyze security incidents and collaborate with senior engineers on investigation and remediation efforts
•    Support the development of security policies and procedures for threat detection and response
•    Help in incident response and participate in forensics analysis when security events occur
•    Perform vulnerability assessments and assist in patch management and security updates
•    Contribute to maintaining and improving security controls and firewall configurations
•    Monitor network traffic, endpoints, and cloud systems for anomalies or threats
•    Assist with security documentation, including maintaining logs, reports, and security standards
•    Help with security awareness training for employees and stakeholders
•    Collaborate with other IT and security teams to ensure cohesive security strategies

•    Basic understanding of network security concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems
•    Familiar with SIEM tools and log management systems
•    Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies
•    Basic knowledge of cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP)
•    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for security issues
•    Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate across departments, and follow instructions from senior staff
•    Strong communication skills and ability to document security incidents, policies, and procedures
•    Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the cybersecurity field
