Purpose of Position

The Cybersecurity Engineer under general supervision, contributes to the strategic and technical cybersecurity control direction of the NetJets' data infrastructure. Design and implement databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability. Uses the appropriate technology to achieve strategic objectives and manage various architectures. Follows standards for operations, programming, and security. May work with business stakeholders and within engineering project teams.  Contributes to multiple high profile projects at a time. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Must stay up to date on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, privacy legislation, and news items and communicate new finding with other team members. 
•    Documents architectural policies, procedures and standards based upon guidance from Corporate Security Management. 
•    Recommending technical changes in security controls. 
•    Research of mechanisms and tools for control compliance. 
•    Periodic technical scans of business entities to ensure continued compliance with control principles. 
•    Provide Incident Response support for the enterprise and business units as needed. 
•    Providing consultative technical security expertise to business units and Corporate IT teams in support of projects as needed. 
•    Provide technical solutions that offer continuous monitoring and research of real time alerts. 
•    Provide technical solutions that offer tracking and reporting of technical control violations.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

•    Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. 
•    2-4+ year experience with various standards (PCI/DSS, SOX, FedRAMP HIPAA etc.) 
•    2-4+ years’ experience in an Information Technology security role. 
•    Solid understanding of security technologies (NextGen firewalls, vulnerability management, endpoint security, DLP, etc.) 
•    Ability to manage changing workloads while maintaining a sense of priorities and delivering quality service within required timeframes. 
•    Ability to learn new technologies and applications and apply that knowledge to daily workflows. 
•    Attention to detail, organized and able to work and research independently. 
•    Demonstrated adaptability, analytical and problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. 
•    Solid understanding of web application security/OWASP Top10

•   Preferred - CISSP, CISA, CISM, GSEC, Security+, CEH
