Purpose of Position

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Drive implementation of data pipelines through analysis and design activities for new business features or value-based enhancements to existing processes.
- Collaborate with various internal teams like architecture, infrastructure operations, cyber security, and others to implement architectures that encompass broad perspectives and requirements.
- Automate build, test, and deploy code and build pipelines
- Build testing automation and associated processes (Unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.) into the software product.
- Work in an agile team environment to iteratively delivery value.

Core Competencies
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Proficient in: SQL and DDL/DML and data modeling tools and techniques (e.g. dimensional, 3NF).
- Experience developing data pipelines using Python or industry standard ETL tools.
- Experience supporting and developing large-scale data implementations and supporting High Availability and Disaster Recovery is preferred.
- Knowledge and or/previous experience of cloud data technologies such as Snowflake and AWS.
- Knowledge and or/previous experience with data quality concepts and methodologies.
- Experience supporting and developing complex data integrations including performance tuning techniques is preferred.
- Previous experience with BI or data visualization tools such as Tableau or Business Objects is preferred.
