Purpose of Position

The Director, Global Security, is a multi-disciplined role within Global Security and QS Security Services with a primary responsibility for the management and oversight of Executive Protection. This role will provide thoughtful leadership in delivering a holistic, best-in-class Global Security program aimed at mitigating risk, ensuring continuity of operations and safeguarding the company’s assets, reputation and Brand. The Director, Global Security will partner with various functions, including QS Security Services, LLC, and the Global Security Operations Specialists to manage growth and scale our systems to protect people. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary person working within Global Security and QS Security Services teams for the oversight of day to day operations within the Executive Protection, Owner secure travel and event security programs.
  • Provide quick and comprehensive response to critical security-related incidents against NetJets’ team members or Owners.  
  • Identify, develop, implement, and maintain Company security processes across all business units to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure to liability in all areas.  
  • Provide expertise, direction and support on all matters relating to physical security, security risk identification, executive protection, special event security and crisis management.
  • Interface with other business areas and divisions to accomplish cooperative goals, representing Global Security in multidisciplinary initiatives.  
  • Work with the GSOC as the central station for emergency response for travelers, facilities support, global emergency notifications, crisis management, and threat/risk intelligence, with joint operations goals for infosec operations.
  • Foster effective communication and coordination with NetJets Global Security Team
  • Perform other security management duties as needed, including but not limited to, daily operational needs, security, event support, reporting, analytics and administration.  
  • Work closely with local, state and federal law enforcement and other security agencies

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

  • Demonstrated expertise in executive protection (EP), including protective operations, advance planning, threat assessment, and risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive protection strategies for senior executives and other high-profile individuals.
  • Experience conducting protective advances, including site assessments, route planning, transportation coordination, and contingency planning.
  • Strong background in protective intelligence and threat management, with the ability to identify, assess, and respond to emerging risks.
  • Experience coordinating protective operations with law enforcement, government agencies, security partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead executive protection during domestic and international travel, major events, and elevated-threat situations.
  • Executive protection training and operational experience consistent with U.S. Secret Service (USSS) protective methodologies and standards
  • LEOSA eligible 
  • Extensive experience in executive protection and special event security
  • Extensive experience in communicating with senior leadership
  • Experience working with a large variety of different types of sensitive matters, with an in-depth understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing a rapidly growing company
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain positive relationships with other NetJets employees globally
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in dynamic and fluid situations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • In possession of a valid passport with no travel restrictions
  • A team player with a willingness and ability to travel on short notice in support of Global Security operations and initiatives
