Purpose of Position
The Director, Operational & Maintenance Training is responsible for the delivery and execution of training programs across non-pilot operational departments, including Dispatch, Maintenance, International Trip Planning, Scheduling, and FBO/vendors as applicable. This position leads the instructor team that delivers training based on internally developed courseware, ensures compliance with applicable regulatory and operational standards, and drives continuous improvement in instructional quality, learner engagement, and operational readiness. The Director works cross-functionally to ensure training outcomes support real-world performance, safety goals, and company culture.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the training delivery function for maintenance personnel, flight support teams, dispatchers, schedulers, and vendor/facility-facing employees.
• Oversee a team of instructors and facilitators, providing coaching, support, and performance evaluations to ensure delivery consistency and technical accuracy.
• Partner with the Director of Courseware to ensure timely integration of updated materials and content changes into the training calendar and instructor briefings.
• Ensure all training events meet applicable FAA, DOT, OSHA, and ICAO standards, as well as internal SOPs and safety policies.
• Schedule, resource, and manage execution of new hire onboarding, recurrent training, and special topic training (e.g., procedural updates, new technology rollouts).
• Monitor training effectiveness and learner performance, incorporating feedback and post-training assessments into continuous improvement cycles.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with department heads and frontline leaders to ensure training outcomes are aligned with operational performance needs.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining instructor qualifications, verifying delivery documentation, and participating in regulatory and internal training reviews.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
• Minimum of 8 years of experience delivering or managing technical training in aviation maintenance, operations, or dispatch environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with instructor teams or training departments.
• Working knowledge of Part 135 operations, including dispatch, maintenance programs, and international flight logistics.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse operational audiences.
• Familiarity with training compliance requirements from FAA, DOT, and OSHA relevant to technical and operational roles.
• Ability to manage training logistics, timelines, and performance reporting with a focus on learner outcomes and operational integration.
