Purpose of Position

The Manager, Base Maintenance Planning manages Base Maintenance systems including event planning, resource planning, location identification, and workflow management.  Manages Base Maintenance performance to maximize yield, and reduce cost, while providing maximum aircraft availability.  The Manager, Base Maintenance Planning partners with Operational Analysis to develop, maintain, and communicate the maintenance availability forecast and adjust maintenance planning to meet operational needs.  The Manager, Base Maintenance Planning  develops strategic plans for Base Station network locations, tracks and capabilities. The Manager, Base Maintenance Planning is responsible to ensure maintenance regulatory requirements that are managed by Base Planning are performed in accordance with NetJets Approved Aircraft Inspection Programs, Continuous Inspection Programs, or Regulatory Requirements and company requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all maintenance requirements are complied with in accordance with NetJets Approved Aircraft Inspection Programs, Continuous Inspection Programs, or Regulatory Requirements and company requirements.
  • Directs the creation of a short-term maintenance plan and maintain a long range plan for airframe and engine programs.  Liaises with Operational Analysis to develop, maintain, and communicate the maintenance availability forecast and adjust maintenance planning to meet operational needs.
  • Optimizes maintenance requirement accomplishment to maximize availability during high usage periods and reduce cost, while efficiently planning maintenance to reduce the impact of aircraft maintenance on the operation
  • Evaluates maintenance program changes and provide input to the revision process.  Develop Transition Documents to ensure regulatory compliance as program revisions are implemented
  • Partners with many areas of the business on process improvements including but not limited to Finance, Refurbishment Team. Supply Chain, Suppliers, BI &A, Technical Programs, Cadm, RTS etc.
  • Continually monitors business performance metrics to include recommended changes and building/providing their own analysis and tools to assist with monitoring the business areas functions. 
  • Compiles data for analysis to assist with short/long term strategy decisions and expert knowledge in configuration and management of forecasting software.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years of supervisory and personnel management experience (DESIREABLE)
  • Work experience in planning or forecasting positions.
  • A working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations with knowledge & understanding of turbine powered aircraft systems.
  • Experience directly related to maintenance management. Working knowledge of MS Office applications, and specific maintenance planning and forecasting tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Knowledgeable in relational databases, data extraction tools such as Hyperion, Business Objects, SAS or Access and analytical functions
