Purpose of Position

The Manager, Maintenance Data Quality leads a team of analysts responsible for developing, improving, and validating the aircraft maintenance fault data used to identify trends in safety and reliability monitoring. The manager will partner with the Aircraft Systems and Fleet Management teams to ensure that fault data and associated tools are available for system specific analysis.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensure reliable, high quality maintenance fault data is delivered to internal stakeholders and applications. Partner with MCC, IT, and other groups to provide input recommendations and process guidelines used in the data collection process to ensure that the quality of the data meets the outlined standards. Manage the development of aircraft systems and maintenance fault data monitoring and reporting tools and models. Provide oversight and guidance of maintenance data cleaning initiatives during Migration of legacy systems into a modern data platform. Focus on self-development by allocating time to continually develop your general data skills. Responsible for training team members on specific tools and technologies that are used to maintain data quality.

Education

Bachelor's in Aviation Management or related field

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P)

Strong project management and leadership background. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred. Experience with aircraft maintenance tracking systems and the ability to use query tools (SQL, SAS, or Business objects). Experience with analytical dashboards and relational databases.
