Purpose of Position

As an integral member of the Safety Services team the Manager, Audit Programs is responsible for operational management of internal audits of company departments, outbased facilities and aircraft under NJUS management as required by the NJUS Internal Evaluation Program. Additionally is responsible for management of external audits, approvals and evaluations of supplemental lift vendors in accordance with the NJUS Charter Vendor Requirements Manual.     

Other functions include: 
• Responsible for assuring that the company’s goals for safety are met by continual compliance with the company
  SMS program.
• Manage department audit personnel to include; scheduling, training, qualifying, evaluating, and professional
   development.
• Develop, manage and coordinate the execution of the internal (IEP) and external (CVRM) audit plans, ensuring all
  EJM departments, outbased facilities, managed aircraft and supplemental lift vendors are audited and evaluated
  in accordance with the IEP and CVRM manuals.
• Monitor audit/evaluation trends for emerging risks and adjust, as necessary, audit/evaluation plans to ensure proper
  internal company and supplemental lift vendor oversight.
• Develop and provide department matrix to show compliance with the company IEP and CVRM. 
• Review audit/evaluation results, determine need for corrective actions, and evaluate vendor resolution for
  adequacy.
• Monitor quality of audit activity to ensure department goals and company needs are being met.
• Evaluate operators for acceptability as potential new vendors.
• As required, perform analysis and approval of vendor pilots and aircraft.
• Participate in development of departmental documentation and audit/evaluation/data collection tools.
• Manage document control in accordance with the company QMS Manual.
• Provide advice and guidance to management, peers and department personnel.
• Provide leadership, coaching, motivation and recommend training for department personnel. 
• Schedule after hours (on-call) support to internal and external clients.
• Provide assistance to the VP Safety, Security & Standards in development of the annual budget.
• Perform other functions as assigned by the VP Safety, Security & Standards.

Tasks and Responsibilities

70% - Support the VP Safety, Security & Standards by providing day to day operational management to provide internal audits of company departments, outbased facilities and aircraft under NJUS management as required by the NJUS Internal Evaluation Program and manage external audits, approvals and evaluations of supplemental lift vendors in accordance with the NJUS Charter Vendor Requirements Manual. 
10% - Provide oversight of audit report reviews and resolution of findings and concerns.
10% - Provide oversight of vendor data collection to ensure timeliness and accuracy of data provided.
5% - Support company department Managers to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and  regulatory requirements that are audited by the NJUS Internal Evaluation Program.  
5% - Support external supplemental lift vendors in understanding and compliance with requirements of the NJUS Charter Vendor Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

• Commercial or Air Transport Pilot Certificate, or; Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or international equivalent.
• Operational experience in domestic and international commercial flight or maintenance operations.
• Ability to support both internal and external clients to support the company mission and goals.
• Knowledgeable of domestic and international aviation regulations.
• Previous 14 CFR 121, 135 or 145 operational and/or maintenance experience, preferably in a management capacity.
• Background in aviation regulatory compliance, safety or technical auditing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
