Purpose of Position

The Endpoint Platform Engineer (Mobility) is responsible for the engineering, administration, support, and continuous improvement of NetJets' enterprise mobility platforms with an iOS-first approach. This role supports Workspace ONE UEM, Workspace ONE Access, Apple ecosystem integrations, identity-based access solutions, mobile security controls, and device lifecycle management supporting pilots, flight attendants, and corporate users globally. The engineer collaborates with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and support teams to deliver secure, reliable, and seamless mobility services while maintaining platform compliance and operational excellence.

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Administer and support Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Access platforms, including configuration, compliance policies, application deployment, and troubleshooting.
•    Implement and maintain identity-driven mobility solutions utilizing Workspace ONE Access, Okta, single sign-on (SSO), and conditional access technologies.
•    Support the administration of Apple Business Manager (ABM), Automated Device Enrollment (ADE), Managed Apple IDs, supervision, iOS/iPadOS updates, and emerging Apple management technologies.
•    Configure and maintain BYOD enrollment solutions utilizing Apple User Enrollment and Microsoft 365 data protection capabilities.
•    Assist in integrating mobile security and compliance controls with Microsoft 365 and mobile threat defense solutions.
•    Develop and maintain scripts, automation workflows, and integrations using PowerShell, Python, Bash, and platform APIs.
•    Support device lifecycle management processes including provisioning, enrollment, deployment, refresh, replacement, and retirement activities.
•    Assist with platform monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of mobility-related incidents and service requests.
•    Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Identity, and Service Desk teams to maintain secure and compliant mobility solutions.
•    Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of new mobility platform features, operating system releases, security updates, and application integrations.
•    Monitor platform health and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, user experience, automation, and operational efficiency.
•    Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and platform runbooks.
•    Provides Tier 2 & 3 technical support for all mobile devices. Partners with Service Desk leadership to identify and grow Service Desk scope and first touch resolutions.
•    Participates in the team's on-call schedule and rotation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

•    Strong understanding of iOS and iPadOS device management concepts, including Apple Business Manager (ABM), Automated Device Enrollment (ADE), Managed Apple IDs, device supervision, User Enrollment, and Declarative Device Management (DDM).
•    Experience supporting Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Access, or comparable experience administering MDM platforms such as Jamf, Microsoft Intune, or similar enterprise mobility solutions.
•    Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and security baselines, such as CIS, NIST, DISA STIGs, SOC 2, or related mobile data protection controls.
•    Understanding of identity and access management concepts, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and SAML and OIDC authentication standards. Experience with supporting Okta for mobility a plus. Familiarity with Active Directory/MS Entra ID a plus.
•    Familiarity with scripting/automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or platform APIs.
•    Familiarity with Microsoft 365 mobility and security technologies, including Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Conditional Access.
•    Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex endpoint and mobility issues.
•    Effective written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams while contributing to project and operational objectives.
•    Knowledge of commercial or business aviation operations is a plus but not required.
