Purpose of Position
The Operational Excellence Lead strengthens the quality, reliability, and scalability of the NetJets delivery system by applying Lean principles and data driven problem solving to improve processes and embed continuous improvement across all companies. Working closely with key stakeholders, this role identifies and resolves operational and process challenges that impact airports, the Flight Center, and the broader delivery network. The Operational Excellence Lead improves the execution of our delivery system by testing solutions in the field or in the Flight Center and scaling what works when relevant. Together with cross functional partners, this role enhances service consistency, supports efficient growth, and elevates the Owner experience. This position is essential for driving long term profitability and world class service for our Owners.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Process Optimization & Redesign Workflow: Lead structured problem solving efforts to map current processes, identify root causes, eliminate inefficiencies, and redesign workflows that improve quality, flow, and reliability across the NetJets delivery system. Partner with teams to ensure solutions enhance the Owner experience.
- Solution Testing & Operational Trials (Field or Flight Center): Conduct operational assessments in airports or the Flight Center to understand breakdowns, validate insights, and test practical operational improvements. Pilot solutions in real environments and refine based on observed outcomes before broader adoption.
- Operational Analytics & Performance Management: Use data, KPIs, and operational trends to diagnose issues, evaluate process performance, and prioritize improvement opportunities. Develop visual management or reporting tools that help stakeholders understand system health and improvement impact.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership: Coach and support teams in Lean problem solving, standard work, and continuous improvement disciplines. Facilitate improvement workshops or focused problem solving sessions to build capability and drive accountability for sustainable change.
- Scaling & Standardization of Effective Solutions: Translate validated improvements into clear standards, processes, or playbooks that can be replicated across relevant airports or Flight Center functions. Ensure changes are adopted, measured, and reinforced through ongoing performance monitoring.
- Performance Reporting & Communication: Present operational insights, improvement outcomes, and ROI to key stakeholders. Communicate issues, risks, and opportunities with clarity, ensuring alignment on priorities and next steps.

- Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., value stream mapping, root‑cause analysis, standard work).
- Knowledge of end‑to‑end operations, including workflow dependencies across airports, the Flight Center, and connected business functions.
- Understanding of business process management concepts and methods for documenting and improving cross‑functional workflows.
- Knowledge of operational analytics frameworks and performance management systems.
