Purpose of Position

The Refurbishment Auditor is tasked to audit, review, challenge, correct, and approve expenditures for aircraft refurbishment work orders and parts transactions. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Audit refurbishment work performed on NetJets aircraft interiors and exteriors to determine the appropriateness of charges billed. This includes but is not limited to challenging vendor charges and negotiating appropriate settlements or adjustments.
•    Audit work orders, invoices, and other documentation related to refurbishment projects to identify potentially unnecessary or excessive spending and make recommendations for process and procurement modifications to realize cost savings.
•    Identify contractual terms not followed by NetJets and make recommendations to become compliant while identifying deficiencies or necessary modifications to existing agreements related to refurbishment services.
•    Develop expertise in all areas of refurbishment plans and agreements to effectively resolve disputes with refurbishment providers regarding inaccurate, unreasonable, and/or unsubstantiated charges.
•    Work with NetJets refurbishment vendors to maintain current account standing and timely rectify any disputes.

Core Competencies

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

•    Experience in aircraft maintenance, aviation/technical records, or refurbishment processes. (Preferred)
•    Practical experience in a similar role of cost and/or invoice auditing.
•    Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance and/or aviation inventory processes, with an understanding of refurbishment-specific considerations (e.g., interior materials, paint processes).
•    Strong ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance plans, program documents, and refurbishment specifications.
•    Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on assigned work as well as ad-hoc projects.
•    Basic understanding of business and financial processes.
•    Ability to use experience and knowledge to creatively improve processes and increase efficiency.
•    Working knowledge of MS Office applications with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.
•    Ability to understand, create, and communicate basic financial reports and corporate financial information.
•    Familiar with NetJets maintenance tracking and work order systems. (Preferred)
•    Strong skills in the use of MS Office applications with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.
