Purpose of Position
The Staff Software Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for architecting, developing, and integrating next-generation communication capabilities across NetJets’ digital ecosystem. This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role suited for a seasoned engineer who thrives in building, experimenting, and leading through influence in a transformative technology environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Architect and Deliver Solutions: Design, build, and integrate modern communication channels (SMS, Business Chat, App Chat, Email, Voice) across multiple NetJets applications using Genesys Cloud, Terraform, Python, and JavaScript.
- Lead Integration and Enablement: Develop scalable APIs and automation to connect internal platforms such as the Owners Portal, Notification System, and Customer Journey tools.
- Drive Innovation: Prototype and deliver proof-of-concepts (POCs) for new communication features and AI-assisted experiences for internal users and Owners.
- Journey Mapping: Partner with business stakeholders to define and optimize end-to-end Owner and Crew communication journeys, from first engagement to ongoing service.
- Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical mentor and thought leader within the engineering organization—guiding design decisions, reviewing architecture, and ensuring operational excellence.
- Collaboration: Partner with peer IT teams, business leaders, and the Genesys engineering team to advance platform capabilities in alignment with enterprise goals for 2025–2026.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present prototypes, findings, and technical recommendations to executive leadership, early adopters and testers of new solutions.
- Reliability and Scalability: Ensure new integrations and automations are secure, scalable, and resilient in production environments.
- Independent Execution: Operate with entrepreneurial autonomy—translating goals into working solutions with minimal direction, in close alignment with organizational vision.
