Purpose of Position

Return To Service (RTS) supervisor ensures compliance with FAA regulations and the NJA General Maintenance Manual through supervision of the workload in the RTS Department by prioritizing work orders and assigning them to RTS Specialists. Supervises, in an executive capacity, the maintenance or alteration of aircraft on NetJets Part 135 Operating Certificate. The RTS Supervisor is responsible to the RTS Manager for the day-to-day operation and any issues they encounter.

Tasks and Responsibilities

1.    Ensures that NetJets Aviation (NJA) remains compliant with 14 CFR FAA regulations and the NetJets General Maintenance Manual (GMM) through oversight of RTS Specialists.
2.    Monitors the departmental workload across regional and base maintenance sites and assigns work to RTS Specialists to effect timely releases of maintenance events.
3.    Assumes all duties of an RTS Specialist when workload requires.
4.    Completes Performance Evaluations and supervises RTS Specialists for process performance. Aids employees with career development. Ensure staff training requirements are met.
5.    Ensure NetJets Management personnel are notified of any unusual circumstances which may cause the aircraft to not operate within the regulatory guidelines.  
6.    Manages the RTS specialist schedule and time off in an executive capacity.
7.    Reviews and approves parts in the maintenance tracking system for use on NetJets aircraft. 
8.    Approves one-time RII on 10 or more NJA aircraft per NJA GMM 10.2.2.

Bachelor's in related field or related field

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

A working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS office. To perform the job effectively this person should have a minimum of 2 years as a return to service specialist. Minimum of 4-6 years aircraft technical maintenance supervisor or minimum of 4 years QC inspector. A&P license is required. Vocational Training required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
