Purpose of Position
The Technical Accounting Manager provides enterprise-wide support on the interpretation and application of accounting standards and requirements. This role evaluates, develops and implements standardized policies and procedures to ensure technical compliance with evolving regulations, as well as alignment with ERP design and configurations while optimizing financial resources to support strategic objectives.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure technical compliance and ERP configuration alignment with US GAAP, IFRS, and other regulations, e.g. ESG and local statutory requirements
- Develop, document and implement best-in-class accounting policies, procedures and internal controls. Evaluate and provide guidance on complex transactions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of financial reporting and policy decisions with broader business strategy
- Coordinate with auditors related to financial reporting and technical accounting matters and resolve audit inquiries efficiently
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices
- Identify and drive improvement initiatives to enhance alignment and efficiency in financial systems, accounting tools, and processes
- Define and validate financial reporting requirements within the ERP and ensure meeting statutory and regulatory requirements
- Map existing accounting policies to ERP functionalities
- Act as subject matter expert for accounting standards during ERP design workshops and implementation phase

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or corporate and technical accounting experience
- U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Accounting Standards expertise
- Ability to work independently with attention to details, and effective organizational and problem solving skill
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders
- Strong adaptability, project management experience focuses on goals, actions, and positive results
- Team player, takes pride and ownership in work
- Experience in ERP design, configuration and implementation (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.)
