Purpose of Position

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Windows Server Engineer who thrives in complex environments and enjoys owning critical infrastructure. This role blends deep Windows Server expertise with modern cloud engineering—ideal for someone who can operate confidently in hybrid ecosystems and drive modernization initiatives.

You’ll be a key technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, and cloud services (AWS, OCI). If you enjoy solving tough problems, automating everything you can, and shaping infrastructure strategy, this is your kind of challenge.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Windows & Infrastructure Engineering

• Architect, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Manage and optimize Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related core services.
• Lead patching, hardening, and compliance efforts across server fleets.
• Troubleshoot complex OS, networking, and performance issues.

Cloud Support

• Support AWS infrastructure, including Iac, IaaS, PaaS, identity, and security components.
• Build and maintain hybrid integrations (Azure AD Connect, VPN, ExpressRoute, etc.).
• Implement cloud governance, cost optimization, and security best practices.

Automation & DevOps

• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Improve monitoring, observability, and alerting using tools like Datadog.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Windows and cloud technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response for critical systems.
• Drive modernization initiatives such as cloud migration, virtualization upgrades, and automation adoption.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

• 4-6 years of experience administering and engineering Windows Server environments.
• Strong expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environment.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and automation frameworks.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layered issues.
• Experience with CommVault backup software or similar.
